  • • Promote and protect the interest of the industries engaged in the manufacture of dermatological agents, equipment and accessories used in the practice of dermatology and all other materials associated with the production and sale of those commodities.
  • • To represent the interest of members to their Government and appropriate authorities and other relevant associations.
  • • To actively establish practice standards and protocols and review such from time to time.
  • • To diffuse technical, industrial and commercial knowledge regarding the practice of dermatology
  • • To establish a code of conduct and ensure fair practices for the betterment of the industry and the public it serves. Thereby adopting measures which are considered desirable by the members from time to time, such measure being binding on its Ordinary Members and Associate Members.
  • • To urge or recommend legislation and other measures and to procure change of laws and practices affecting trade, commerce and industries in Africa in general and the Dermatology and Health Industry in particular.
  • • To collect and accumulate statistics and other information relating to dermatological conditions.
  • • To secure concessions, privileges, benefits, etc. in any shape or form for the industry from the government and other commercial, industrial and public bodies in or outside Africa and to extend all possible help to the industry.
  • • To raise and accept any request, gift, grant, donation, subscription or fee, etc. towards or to accumulate and to provide a fund or endowment arising therefrom or to resort to the capital thereof for the furtherance of the ASDV and the interests it represents.
  • • To pay all or any cost charges, expenses, etc. for the promotion, formation, establishment etc. of the Association.
  • • To invest the money and property of the Association that’s not immediately required for the purpose of business in such securities or in such manner as may be determined from time to time.
  • • To acquire, purchase, take on lease or otherwise land and buildings and all other property movable and immovable which the Association for the purpose thereof may think proper to acquire.
  • • To borrow money required for the purpose of the Association, upon such terms and in such a manner and on such securities that may be determined by the issue of Debentures charged upon all or any of the property of the Association.
  • • To arbitrate in the settlement of disputes when requested arising out of commercial transactions between Members of the Association
  • • To do all such other things as may be considered to be incidental or conducive to the above objectives or any of them
